I love this novel so much. A deeply touching story which revolves between two friends, Rosie and Alex. Both of them are friends since childhood. The friendship remains throughout their life but a question arises, 'Do they meant to be friends forever?'. Alex was the love of Rosie's life and Rosie was the love of Alex's life from the beginning. I do believe that strong friendship can be said as love but what about the special feeling that sometimes appears in Rosie's heart...Does Rosie misunderstood of her feeling?
However, in the midst of friendship, misunderstandings and circumstances have kept them apart. These was said to be happened because of fate. There is a quote goes like this "The future was with Fate. The present was our own." I like this quote. Sometimes fate just can't stop meddling but we should bear in our mind one thing..past is past, future is the time yet to come but present is in our hand.Therefore, we should live our life to the fullest. If fate happens, we just take it as an experience and look for the good in it. Even though at first Rosie was not able to accept some of the things that happened in her life, but somehow in the middle of the story, she realized that life has to go on and she has her own responsiblities that need to be taken care of. I was very touched by the final letter written by Alex to Rosie towards the end of the story, where he said that he is a man of 55 years of age who today loves Rosie more than ever; tomorrow will loves her even more; needs her more than ever and wants her more than ever. He expressed his love finally after many, many years and they ended up being soulmates....
